We Are Here to Help

We want you to succeed with your training goal. For this reason, we offer a range of complementary services to ensure you are fully supported along the way. These services may be provided in-house or by one of our partners. Please feel free to contact the relevant service provider below for more information. Details of our support services are also contained in the JKR student handbook.

Lifeline (www.lifeline.org.au or 131114) is a suicide prevention service providing all Australians experiencing a personal crisis with access to 24-hour crisis support.

Beyond Blue aims to increase awareness of depression and anxiety and reduce stigma. Call 1300 22 4636, 24 hours/7 days a week, chat online or email.

Yarn Safe are a series of online resources, developed by Headspace, dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people. Phone: 1800 650 890

Head to Health provides free advice, assessment and referral into local mental health services. Call 1800 595 212 between 8:30am to 5pm on weekdays (public holidays excluded).

Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills

Language, literacy, and numeracy skills encompass the ability to effectively communicate, comprehend written information, and use numerical concepts. These skills are fundamental across various aspects of life, including education, work, and daily tasks, forming the basis for successful communication, learning, and problem-solving.

JKR will 

  • Evaluate learners' language, literacy, and numeracy skills upon enrolment to ensure they are sufficient for completing the training.

  • Support learners with easily comprehensible training materials and strategies tailored to the level of workplace skills being taught.

  • Offer clear information to learners about available language, literacy, and numeracy assistance.

  • Direct learners to external support services if needed, beyond what JKR provides.

  • Consider extending training program timelines if necessary. 

  • USI - A USI is your individual education number for life. It also gives you an online record of your vocational education and training (VET) undertaken in Australia. https://www.usi.gov.au/

JKR is committed to providing a fair and transparent complaints and appeals process that includes access to an independent external body if required.

Before making a complaint or lodging an appeal please read our complaints procedure so that you have a clear understanding of the process.

Once you have completed the required form you are requested to submit this to the Training Manager either in hard copy or electronically via info@jkrtraining.com.au
